So here I am with a new
publication, THE *NIXED REPORT. It is an alternative to the
mainstream press that people have been used to reading in the past few
decades. The offering is different in this online magazine.
How so? It acts as a magazine would. There are
graphics where appropriate just like a magazine in print. There
are also ads in it as well, or rather, there will be. Unlike
other publications prices will not be too high and out of reach, and
unlike some organizations, I have no problem with people copying this
publication and passing it around.
As a matter of fact, this magazine comes in two forms.
So continue onward to the next page and read more of what we have to offer. In this issue, there are contributions from two very talented writers. One piece is a short story that is sure to thrill, another is an opinion piece that will certainly give food for thought. In closing I would like to say this: In alternative radio, it is very understandable that it costs money to operate. Bandwidth and syndication can be expensive, and it makes sense that it needs to be paid for. However, third parties who spread the word are quite important as well. The idea being emphasized at this point is quality, not quantity. Size is not always important. Many have wondered how they can contribute. Instead of dipping into your wallet, why not try setting up an Internet radio network like Robb Revere has in your local community? It would be awesome to have at least one in every state in this country (including Alaska and Hawaii). Twenty smaller groups can do much more to empower communities across the world than one giant organization can. That will be the first lesson in this issue, and it will be taught over and over again. Learn it well, and most importantly, enjoy! Thomas Holbrook II
